What do I love about: Mornings in Jenin?

I typically don’t read a lot of novels but this novel is educational. It throws light on the war between Israel and the rest of the world. In this case Palestine. It provides some context on the background of religious, cultural and financial conflict that has kept the people in poverty and fear .

Notes from Morning in Jenin

I couldn’t extract my usual notes because this was a pdf read and I was too heartbroken to take notes.

However this novel is a must read for everyone. The prelude demonstrates a book filled with violence and sadness which is not far from the truth. The picture painted by this novel should speak to anyone who has a soul. The rift between Israeli’s and Palestine’s, Jews and Muslim killing thousands of innocent souls is not worth it and in fact a useless conflict. The further manipulation from international bodies and so called power allies such as the United States will further irritate you as decisions were merely political rather than humanitarian. This is an eye opener for anti-war and pro-war folks alike.
